Panglao Island Bohol Island

Panglao is a spit of white sand beaches in Bohol Province, South of Manila. The island has three major beach areas namely: Bolod, Tawala, and Dolio. Panglao Island itself is comprised of two towns, Dauis and Panglo and is located west of Tagbilaran City. Panglao Island is generally a typical resort island with facilities for diving and other related activities. Tagbilaran City has the Torralba Market, the Bohol National Museum, and a short ride away is the town of Corella, home of the Philippine Tarsier Foundation. The visitor can also opt to take part in the Pamilacan dolphin and whale watching tours which are operated mostly by former whale hunters.

Panglao Island is easily accessible by plane from Manila direct to Tagbilaran City through a number of carriers, or via Cebu City using the WG&A Supercat fastcraft service. Either way, the island is within easy reach by anyone with money to spend. For those who prefer to get there via cheaper means can take a 17-hour boat ride from Manila.
